Decorative features
The nice colour and regular structure are advantages of expanded clay and are beneficial for decoration of plants in plots. The natural colour evokes Mediterranean scenery
Water drainage and accumulation
Gardening expanded clay should be poured on the bottom of a pot or a balcony box (about 1 – 2 cm) to facilitate drainage within soil and dispose excess of water. It absorbs a portion of water and easily returns it to plants whenever necessary
Admixture to soil
Expanded clay is to be mixed with soil to improve water retention, aeration of soil, to facilitate exchange of gases and to achieve steady structure of substrate ground. It can be used both indoor and outdoor, in containers and on open surfaces
Hydroponics
Owing to high absorbing capacity of water and lightweight structure the gardening LECA is particularly suitable for hydroponic plantations as uniform of self-contained substrate for decorative plants
Application
- Suitable to plant decorative flowers in pots or boxes, to plant trees and bushes in containers or in soil
- It may be applied all the year round.
