Usage

• Spring is the best period to transplant plants. First, it is always necessary to cut off the withered blades.

• The product is pressed mechanically – before use, it is recommended to loosen it and, if necessary, moisten it with water if the substrate is dry.

• On the day before transplanting, the plant should be watered abundantly.

• Transplanting into pots: Prepare a clean pot with drainage holes larger than the root system. Carefully take the root system out. Gently remove the dead roots and loosen the twisted roots. Pour a drainage layer, e.g. expanded clay, into the pot, followed by KIK SUBSTRATE FOR ORNAMENTAL GRASSES AND BAMBOOS. Put the plant into the pot (it should grow at the same depth as before) and fill the pot with KIK SUBSTRATE FOR ORNAMENTAL GRASSES AND BAMBOOS up to 2 cm below the edge, pressing it slightly. After transplanting, the plant should be watered abundantly so as to ensure the adequate moisture level.

• Transplanting into the ground: Dig a hole which is about 30% larger than the root system and fill it partially with KIK SUBSTRATE FOR ORNAMENTAL GRASSES AND BAMBOOS. Put the plant with the root system into the prepared hole – at the same depth as it used to grow before – and fill the rest of the hole with the substrate. Right after transplanting, water the plant abundantly.

• We recommend to start fertilizing 6–8 weeks after transplanting.
